My Story

Since childhood I’ve sought out difference and seen connections or links in seemingly unrelated concepts. I painted my clothes with artworks at high school. David Bowie was inspiration. My first passion was the art world. Then, at uni I failed life drawing during my fine arts degree. Don’t worry, I still got a degree in Fine Art. But was steered on a new course.

Life is a creative act.

I started as a teacher and social justice advocate before moving into the corporate world following my Masters in PR. I’ve worked with and advised remarkable leaders, individuals, and businesses, on how to tune the intersection between brand, strategy, communication, and culture. Like my aspirations for the art world, curating and shaping directions with leaders to achieve results, is akin to invention.

I could try to impress you with all the great things I’ve worked on with big businesses and clients, but you can go to LinkedIn for that. I will say, through a combination of corporate, small business and agency experience I’ve been exposed to a disproportionate number of sectors, industries, business models, functions, and factors.

This training-ground means I quickly absorb business goals, cultural influences, external factors, and stakeholder needs and shape innovative ‘whole of business’ ideas.

And what will be more important to you, is not what I’ve done per se, but how I listen and talk with you about my understanding of your problem or your project.

New thought systems for capitalising on change and achieving personal mastery.

Today, as consultant, advisor, or coach, I’m dedicated to using my professional expertise and personal wisdom to challenge and nudge individuals, executives, and entrepreneurs to build better brands.

Oh, I’m also proud mum to my great gal Ruby and cockerspaniel Frankie, a passionate meditator, lover of hocus pocus, and strong believer in creating your own future.

‘It’s not your job to be likeable. It’s your job to be yourself. The right people will gravitate.’

Rashaun Will

I love this saying. It’s just darn good advice. And it’s true for people, businesses, strategies, or positioning. When you try to be something you’re not, people know. Success comes through developing a very clear sense of who you are and where you stand as a business. Then projecting that identity intensely and consistently.
